Weigh Less for Way Less – About Our Weight Loss Service
In our years of experience as endocrinologists, we have heard many stories and anecdotes about weight loss, weight gain, or the inability to lose weight, particularly when patients compare themselves to their friends or partners.
“My friend eats everything and never gains a pound, but if I eat a single roll, it goes straight to my hips!”
“My husband decided to lose weight, so we started a diet together. He lost weight, but I gained it!
We know that each individual is created differently and everyone has a different metabolic rate, and individual issues, so we don’t use a cookie-cutter approach to treatment. At Weight Less for Way Less, here is what you can expect from us:
- We listen to our patients to understand what will work
- We take what you like to eat and try to build it into a diet plan that will work for you
- We conduct a range of blood tests for various hormonal and metabolic diseases
- We offer meal replacement options or diet medications when necessary
- We review family history to understand genetic predispositions to diabetes, slow metabolism, or other issues.
While many patients may not have an obvious or readily apparent hormone imbalance, we rely on our experience and scientific knowledge to help us identify possible issues in our patients. Often times, our patients’ weight gain started around periods of hormonal change such as puberty, pregnancy and delivery, menopause, etc., or with a family history of obesity. We look for other conditions including sleep apnea, vitamin deficiencies, depression, prediabetes, insulin resistance, and more before we decide on a collaborative approach to helping you move forward with a treatment plan that will work for you and ensure you meet your goals, whether they are related to weight loss, diabetes management, alleviation of osteoporosis symptoms, or simply living a happier and healthier life.
At Weigh Less for Way Less, we specialize in finding the last piece of the puzzle to make you healthy and whole at last.
